TRAVEL INFORMATION
FOOT AND BIKE:
Bristol is a relevantly easy city to walk around – just watch out for the traffic! Biking is also easy and there are some lovely hills.
The OFFLOAD event takes place along established, flat walking routes, such as the Avon Cut Path, Chocolate Path and Bristol Harbourside Walks and bike path (Route 41).
Although it is not so easy to rent bikes in Bristol, between the different OFFLOAD sites, the walks are very pleasant and take no longer than 20 minutes (regular pace).
BUS:
Regular local bus services runn throughout Bristol and its immediate surrounding areas.
Numbers 8 and 9, run from outside Bristol Temple Meads to centre of Bristol/near Watershed.
Bus 500, runs a circular route around Bristol Harbourside and stops outside of Spike Island and near Watershed and CREATE and so links all major OFFLOAD sites.
National Express also run regular services from all major UK airports and cities to Bristol. Booking early is advised for further details go to: National Express
RAIL:
Bristol is well served by both local and long distance rail services, with regular services to and from London, Wales, North of England and Scotland.

CAR:
There are number of car-parks situated in Bristol. Those nearest to the OFFLOAD sites are the Millennium Square Car Park.
Directions: Via M5(S), exit Junction 18, follow A4 (Portway) to Bristol City Centre. Via M4/M5(N), exit Junction 19 and follow M32 direct to Bristol City Centre.
The car park is just a few minutes walk from Watershed and approx. 20 mins walk from Spike Island and CREATE (Tariff: Up to 2 hours £2.00; Up to 24 hours £12.00). There is limited parking space directly outside of Spike Island but in and around CREATE there are plenty of spaces at Brunel Lock (free parking) and The Cottage Inn (free parking).

PLANE:
Nearest Airport: Bristol International Airport (30 minutes max from the centre of Bristol)
The Bristol International Flyer (airport express bus) runs regularly from outside of the arrivals hall to Bristol centre (train station, central bus station) are the most appropriate drop-off points for OFFLOAD. Single fare £5; Return £7.
Airport taxi’s from Bristol International-Bristol centre vary depending on your drop-off point from £16-20.
